Abby began her yoga journey over 10 years ago. Her soccer coach at the time recommended she go to improve flexibility; however, the combination of breath work, mindful movement, and meditation had much more profound an impact than she ever imagined. Abby eventually went on to play D-1 soccer and study Kinesiology at Long Beach State University. With a bachelors in Exercise Science and certifications in Pilates, personal training, functional movement, and yoga, her teaching encompasses a rich and diverse practice. In her classes, Abby facilitates a movement experience that helps people gain a deeper, more loving awareness of their bodies. Her goal is to help students build strength, mobility, and focus, through cultivating more balance and ease to movement and breath. As a passionate “body-nerd” Abby is excited to continue to deepen her knowledge of the body, but also to study the more subtle and spiritual aspects of yoga through the Joy of Yoga 500-hour program. Students can expect education on core stability, healthy movement mechanics, and a deeply satisfying savasana at the end.

一道本不卡免费高清I am very excited to be joining Santa Clara University’s fitness program. I have over 20years experience as a Registered Dental Assistant. Being in the health care industry I understand the need for physical and mental health. One of main reasons I became certified as a group fitness instructor is to be a cheerleader for my workout buddies. Whether it’s the hour, the day or the weeks to follow. I want everyone who comes to class feel welcomed and that they belong. For that one hour they can focus on themselves in a fun, safe and positive environment. Allowing them to achieve effective mind and body heath. I am certified in World of Dance U-Jam Fitness (Cardio Dance Fitness), POUND (Cardio Jam session inspired by playing drums), and WERQ (Dance. Fitness. Workout). In my spare time, my husband and I love to take our four legged fur boys (Buster and Tomac) to the beach and/or hike. I also love to watch old classic movies.

Hello Yogis! My name is Molly and I am a yoga instructor from Corpus Christi, Texas. I am a first-year student here at Santa Clara University. To give a little info on my yoga journey, I started in 2010 as a Yogiño with Elizabeth "Beth" Reese, Ph.D., E-RYT, RCYT, the founder and executive director of Yogiños: Yoga for Youth® (YYY). I participated in two instructional kids' yoga DVDs led by Dr. Reese. Being only 12 years old, I found my passion for yoga very young. I have also been a dedicated ballerina for 14 years and a company member at Corpus Christi Concert Ballet for 6 years. My love for movement and physical expression has drawn me back to yoga in recent years after multiple injuries in ballet. I completed my 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training at the Yoga Studio of Corpus Christi under my beloved guru Michelle Acebo (Uma Devi) the owner and CEO of Yoga Studio of Corpus Christi. I also completed a 50-hour teacher training under Peter Guinosso at Yoga Tree in San Francisco. I hope to bring my students a sense of liberation in my classes by cultivating compassion, self-love, and gratefulness. My love for the relationship of the mind and body made on the mat has inspired me to spread this practice with those around me. I teach mostly power flows with an emphasis on utilizing the core to build our inner fire but also mindful and engaged stretching. So come join me in an energizing, strengthening, but soothing flow class!
一道本不卡免费高清Sami took her first Yoga class over twenty years ago at the University of Oregon and it was love at first asana. At first, she was so drawn in by the strength and flexibility she gained in creating interesting shapes on the mat, which eventually morphed into a deep appreciation for the mindfulness, bio-mechanics and the science behind yoga. After living in chronic pain for many years after spinal surgeries, yoga saved her life one breath and posture at a time. Her approach to yoga is to help people feel joyful ease and build strength through strategic sequencing to open the body, center the mind and connect within. She draws on the creativity, grit and structure she’s cultivated from her careers as a chef and in human resources. In her classes you can expect a fun, sweaty, connected and meditative vinyasa style class. Sami became RYT200 certified through Jennifer Prugh’s Joy of Yoga program in 2018, and is currently enrolled in her 500 hour training.

一道本不卡免费高清Tricia’s first yoga class was at a college rec center; she tried it because it was free and she’d been told she needed to work on flexibility. She had no idea then -over ten years ago -what yoga would come to mean to her. It was through yoga she developed a curiosity for movement and a sense of wonder for how the body functions. This curiosity led her to a lifelong study of alignment, mobility, biomechanics, and how being connected to our bodies through all forms of movement can heal and transform the mind. When she’s not doing or teaching yoga Tricia also enjoys Pilates, mountain biking, and strength training.
