The health and safety of our community is very important to us. SCU is committed to keeping our campus healthy and informed of significant new developments. We are working with the local  and will share any new information as it arises.

一道本不卡免费高清The SCCPHD received confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that an adult male resident of Santa Clara County has tested positive for the novel (new) coronavirus. This is the first case of novel coronavirus for the county. Santa Clara County is composed of over 1,304 square miles and over 18 cities and towns.

Students who are concerned that they may have had close contact with an ill student or who are experiencing flu-like symptoms should visit the Cowell Center open from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday-Friday. When the Cowell Center is closed, students should contact the EMT’s through Campus Safety at 408-554-4441. Avoid Contracting and Spreading Viral Illnesses 

In the peak of the flu season, we remind everyone that there are simple precautions you can take to minimize the risk of contracting and spreading any respiratory viral illnesses. Those include:

  • Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.

  • Staying away from classes, group meetings, work, and common areas if you are sick.
